GardenToolbox is one of the largest online distributors in the UK of gardening products; this ranges from simple gardening tools to lawn mowers, leaf blowers, strimmers and various other equipment. However, as the size of the website has continued to increase, it was decided based on research and experience that a dedicated site would be created to aid the customer in navigation, simplicity and clarity of items.
This method has been rolled out through other sub-sites of GardenToolbox, however, now they?ve expanded their garden watering products into a sole site; gardenwatering.co.uk. This site is dedicated to what the title states; garden watering ? this includes sprinklers, hoses, aquatics & pond equipment along with a variety of other irrigation kit and accessories.
Those who are fans of Hozelock products will be a fan of this website as a large bulk of the products on offer are from this brand at an even cheaper price than the main distributor. On top of this, all Hozelock spares can be obtained from this site, whilst few to no other places on the internet offer these spare parts.
Scott Morris E-Commerce Manager at GardenToolbox commented on the new site release; ?As with every new website we create, before it?s launched onto the live server, we design, optimize and fiddle with the website until it meets the high standards we adhere to. This includes refining both usability and accessibility of the site, so everybody has the ability to utilize it and use the site with minimal problems navigating and finding the product/s they require!? Scott further added; ?We strongly believe in landing page optimization and making a page/product look amazing from the moment the customer lands on it. If we ensure the page is laid out concisely, as well as being easy to understand and filled with relevant information, we can rest assured that the customer will have confidence in both us as a business and the product they?re potentially going to buy.?
It sounds as if Scott and his team at Garden Toolbox are extremely competent and experienced in making usable sites, which are successful in satisfying the customer?s needs and requirements. This is a key feature that is unique to their sites; most other sites tend to opt for fancy looks which detract from the usability which can sometimes lead to users being confused and unable to find the product they want or understand it when they find it.
Along with quality information on products, images are also a priority and as such, they are crisp, clear and informative and help the users visualize the product before they even obtain it.
Garden Toolbox is part of the Plumbworld Network. Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading. It was started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and was sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006. Plumbworld now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and boasts an astonishing 50 websites selling everything from bathrooms and draper tools to barbecues and even a bathroom vanity unit. The business has a turnover in excess of ?18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
