Engagement 101 Announces the Top 9 Best Wedding Rings of 2011

New York, NeY (PRWEB) June 22, 2011

Nine of the best engagement rings and wedding bands of the year were chosen by couples for Engagement 101's first annual Bridal Jewelry Awards. Thousands of men and women visited YourEngagement101.com to cast their vote for their favorite ring in eight unique categories.

Those who voted were automatically entered into a giveaway where 12 lucky voters won various prizes. First prize winner won a diamond tiara from Tigerlilly, second prize winner won a pair of white gold wedding bands from Redcarpetjewels.com and ten runner-up winners won a limited edition royal wedding cookie tin.

Engagement 101?s first annual Bridal Jewelry Awards began with hundreds of submissions from distinguished jewelry designers from around the world. After a rigorous nomination process that whittled the submissions to just 48, the selections were then divided into eight categories of popular ring trends. Voters had a month to vote for their favorite rings. The winners are:

Best Classic Engagement Ring (Tied)

WINNER: Norman Silverman

WINNER: Gabriel & Co.

For the classic category voters went with a 3-stone ring and a pave ring, both of which are huge trendsetters this year.

Best Fancy Engagement Ring

WINNER: Natalie K

The only colored diamond in its category, this fancy yellow diamond ring easily caught voters' eyes.

Best Women?s Wedding Band

WINNER: Kirk Kara

When it comes to women's wedding bands, voters went with a design that was ornate and covered with diamonds.

Best Men?s Wedding Band

WINNER: Ritani

This platinum and diamond band captured voters who appreciated the distinguished, classic look

Best Matching Set

WINNER: Kirk Kara

A second win for Kirk Kara. Their gorgeous wedding set featured a twisted shank design that voters loved.

Best Vintage Engagement Ring

WINNER: Coffin & Trout

This vintage ring with its unique modern flair was hard not to miss.

Best Trendsetting Engagement Ring

WINNER: Mark Silverstein

Rose gold is a huge trend this year, and voters flocked to this unique ring with its rose gold accents.

Best Eco-Friendly Engagement Ring

WINNER: Brilliant Earth

Despite the diverse selection of rings in this category, voters stuck with a design that was simply classic.

Nominations for the 2011 Bridal Jewelry Awards were made possible by the Jewelry Awards committee who had the hard task of narrowing down hundreds of selections to just eight per category. Jurors in the committee included celebrity style expert Michael O'Connor, Ron Samuelson of Samuelson's Diamonds, Cliff and Darlene Miller of M.J. Christensen Diamonds, Adam Gorman of I.Gorman, Jim DeNatale of DeNatale Jewelers, Andy Koehn of Koehn & Koehn, David Long of Long Jewelers, and Gail Friedman of Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers.
